s16 film festival 2021

The Premiere edition of the S16 Film Festival which took place on the 10th & 11th of December 2021 referenced the 2001: A Space Odyssey. A replica of the film’s Monolith was created as a centerpiece art installation. It was displayed at the festival venue.  

The festival successfully screened a series of 11 short films and 2 feature-length films in the genre of African Art House from the continent and diaspora across the 2 days of screening at the old federal printing press.

The Festival welcomed an average of 350 people per day across the screening period and also featured an opening Party and closing party supported by the Dutch Embassy.
